In Europe, more and more people need to update their knowledge, skills and competences to fill the gaps between their formal education and the needs of a rapidly changing society and labour market. The field of vocational education needs to be updated with new technologies, new pedagogical approaches and digitization, so that it is able to react quickly to changes and new requirements and to be flexible and cooperative in connection with companies.
